SAS Fundraiser

22 Jul 2016 by Andrew Boyle

Please see the attached invitation that has been received from the SAS.

AFL Masters WA Players have been invited by the SAS to attend a very special breakfast that will be held in the “Billy Walker” room atDomaine Stadium at 7.00am on the 4thAugust 2016.

The SAS Resources Fund that is referred to in the invitation was established as a result of the 1996 Blackhawk Helicopter accident that tragically took lives of 15 SAS Soldiers.  The Resources Fund was created in order to financially and emotionally assist and support the widows and children that were left behind when their partners made the ultimate sacrifice.  The Fund is a not for profit charity and relies on donations and support from the public.

The breakfast this year will coincide with the Derby game on 4th August 2016.

The event is well recognised in the corporate world and a ticket is well sort after. This year the event will be MC’d by Trevor Jenkins (ABC TV) who hosts a very entertaining panel discussion with Adam Simpson and Ross Lyon coaches of the West Coast Eagles and the Fremantle Dockers.

They will have with them Eric Mackenzie from the Eagles and Michael Walters from the Dockers.  They will be appearing with a special guest Kevin Sheedy.  The WA Governor Hon Kerry Sanderson and the Premier of WA the Hon Colin Barnett are also attending as our guests.

This event is intended to raise funds for a worthwhile cause and should players from your club wish to attend or should your club wish to take up a table you can do so by going to https://www.trybooking.com/210235
